these were from last year’s shoot. I had a husband and two kids for a day. It was a fun day out!
This was taken in Singapore. The landscape was perfect. But Singapore is always so damn hot and everyone is sweating although you can’t tell cos we had our trusty MAC artist standing by to powder our noses whenever there was any hint of shine appearing.
As you can see, I obviously haven’t written anything in quite a while. I was so used to a monotonous lifestyle of work —home—eat—-sleep—–work etc etc that breaking the cycle was in fact a new thing for me for quite some time. Even typing on my own blog. Damn, I wish I can work more often though. It would keep my life busy. Filled with activities. That’s just so Asian isn’t it.
Someone asked me what’s the model of my phone. Surprisingly, I don’t know and honestly, I don’t care. A phone to me is meant for you to call, to receive calls, to message and to receive messages. That’s it. Why do we have to make it so complicated. Hell if I can do away with phones and depend on snail mail.
I haven’t worn eye makeup in quite a while as I am recovering from an allergy. If really feels like walking out naked in public.
It took me a long time to understand why people would drown themselves with alcohol in the clubs and pubs. I have finally understood.
Its been eight months since I’ve been back and I’ve full settled down in Sunny Spore. Often, I would madly wish that snow would fall as Spore is just too F hot.
I ought to start writing more. Even though I feel the entire blog and my posts are so mediocre at times.

I have been absent.
Obviously….not updating my blog is definitely something I’m doing. As you can see I don’t really reveal much about my personal life on this public site unless I do give you permission to access protected posts.
Posts are really more general but not EXTREMELY personal.
You never know who reads your blog!
However, I do feel that my protected posts are far more interesting than mundane posts like so.
Anyway, I do have some free time and I thought that I should share with you some stuff that I am currently reminiscing.
Like Offshore Fishing!
Dave & I
Tons of fishes
Removing scales on board cos it’s fresher like that…I think.
The view of Wollongong Harbour from the boat
One of the snapper that was caught. Had it steamed Chinese Style.
So that’s it. That what I want to do now. It’s to fish. It’s ok if I have severe sea sickness but having tons of good fish to have for dinner is always good.

Today was a rather good day. I had loads of food for lunch and it was surprisingly affordable as well. Right at the heart of Toa Payoh under those HDB blocks, I had some lovely fagrant rice cooked in pork ribs and chinese sausage, Hong Kong Style Yam Cake toppled with sauce that kinda reminds me of hoisin sauce but more like home made rather than out of a Lee Kum Kee bottle. Two lovely half boil eggs toppled with a sprinkling of dark soya sauce just to give it a subtle flavor. Also some lovely freshly steamed sliced white bread with butter and kaya spread. Last but not least, my favorite teh ping. So that’s lunch for today. No wonder I feel rather jello and bottom heavy nowadays.
For dinner I had sushi and Kopi-ping.
Man I LOVE local Singapore food
Fancy restaurants really don’t intrigue me as much as great hawker food.
I guess I must be boring you now.
I hope this blog doesn’t turn out to be like one of those food blogs…

I don’t even have the time to watch the Olympics. I missed the Womens Gymnastics!! Man, I didn’t even have the time to watch Singapore’s National Day on TV. What the hell was I doing during those times? Go figure….I need to seek a balance in life. NOW.
I am Inside one of those typical trains on my way to Sydney
I had no idea my hair was actually this long as I didn’t intentionally grow it. I haven’t trimmed those locks in a long time probably around 11 months or so. I just didn’t see a point to go to a hair dresser in Wollongong or Sydney as getting a hair cut was just too expensive.
Celebrated my cousins B’day as well!
Some Recent Haul from Julique
Also, my face on my Graduation Day. Pictures with me wearing my academic dress will be up shortly. Oh and for you everyday mineral lovers out there, my foundation shade 1/2 Golden Medium and 1/2 Light Neutral Intensive Foundation. Blush Shade in ‘Homework’.
My friend’s dog Vodka is so cute. He lets me do anything to him…slacker dog!
If you haven’t already noticed, he is David and happens to be my boyfriend. We don’t really take lots of pictures together so gotta cherish every single picture taken!
Its been a while since I last updated. Ya I guess I will be graduating this July. It would be my 2nd time wearing an academic dress. The first time I wore it was when I was in Kinder school. Seriously, graduation is just another day. It’s not as if I got selected for a job offering yet. It’s just a beginning of an end.
I just can’t wait to start working actually. Kinda sick of doing nothing at the moment. Slacking is really not my cup of tea. Really.
The picture you see above is just a random picture that I took while I was revising during the FINAL exam period. I sort of got carried away and started to draw a fafi picture with a pen. I screwed up on the lips AGAIN. I always have a problem drawing lips.
I just bought myself 2 pairs of lovely nine west shoes which were 50% off in Sydney. They were size 10 and I wish I could buy 10 more. I seriously would if I got the extra cash with me. I wish asian countries could start importing larger shoe sizes….
This is a pretty random post man.
I am really takikng advantage of Sydney’s mid year sale.
I am once again heading to Sydney for more hauling sessions.
Hi Babes!! If you’re thinking of getting MAC pigments, why not try out their samples instead rather then getting the full size pigments which are huge!!
I found a blogger located in Singapore who has a HUGE selection of MAC pigment samples for sale. She ships wordwide as well I reckon.
So for Singaporeans, getting pigments from her is great!! Save on shipping costs!
Her site is : http://kimoko.livejournal.com/228630.html
you know, its so weird whenever I think about it. I tend to stick to lots of neutrals when I’m doing my eye makeup. Tons of Beige, shimmery golds, browns and wines. I am a big fan of the everyday minerals eye shadows. They are all highly pigmented and lovely!! As usual, I picked out all the neutrals in my kit. I am more of also a drug store makeup kind of girl. I have never purchased a single coloured MAC eye shadow before! I love Revlon stuff!
My mum however, is SO into Japanese Makeup products. It MUST be a Japanese product or else it cant get close to her face. The more glitter the better! She uses all different kinds of colours. Purples, turquoise, blues, pink, dark blue. Rather shocking colours as well. Like the occasional bright eye shadow with a bright lip. But she looks good in them anyway.
I am so damn conservative…..the boring neutrals are getting to me and I wanna bring some colour in my life. I don’t think I will purchase any eye shadows but I intend to share my make up with my mum. She has tons. As in a shockingly huge amount of good quality Japanese Makeup and skincare. Its really a shop.
My sister on the other hand. Does not use eye shadow but she’s a big fan of false eye lashes. I got influenced from my baby sister for the lashes thingy.
My dad, is not interested in make up but make up seems to be somehow linked to his job cos he’s a photographer so sometimes tells me what kind of look he needs. Thus, makeup does the trick.
I am expecting another parcel from Everyday Minerals (EDM) to arrive shortly. Ya I know another god damn haul from EDM. But I cant pass the 20% discount they just had plus they were giving away a full sized blush called “homework” so ya….I would probably do a haul video on that or something. I bought 13 items for USD$55. Great deal and the powder can probably last me for years before I order again from EDM.
I also wanna do a makeup collection video of my mother’s Japanese makeup. Just for fun. Well if she lets me….
I am leaving the Gong on the 29th July 2008. I am counting down the days. My Life belongs in Singapore.
Hey Ada!!!! Thanks for commenting, I hope it’s ok if I can just post your comment here and reply to you from here so others can also read it? Thanks babe!!
A Comment from Ada:
‘hey! just being off track.. do you have any good makeup remover to recommend? im currently using makeup store makeup remover and i think its really not that good. haha.
and i ran out of ideas on which brands to try. hie.
and im really clueless on which type of brush i shd get for minerals makeup.. the brush is supposed to be like, big round at the tip?
i love ur blog! i can learn so many makeup tips! hie hie.”
My take on it:
Personally, I have tried using Cosme Decorte Gel Cleanser, Whitia Cleansing oil, Kose Seikkisho Cleasing oil, Kose Rutina Cleansing oil, Nivea milk cleanser, Loreal Cream and Oil Cleanser, Fasio Cleansing Oil and other drug store brands.
I feel that the Kose Seikissho Cleansing oil is really good as it removes my makeup really well. I use the same cleanser to remove my eye and face make up. Why? Cos I am SO LAZY to use a separate eye make up remover.
If you have very oliy or combination skin, I suggest using a cleansing oil.
I really wanna try the shu ueumura cleansing oil but I need to get a job before I can afford that one. Also the fancl one I have heard great reviews about that!! I wanna buy that one when I get back to Singapore.
Also, I reckon the everyday minerals brushes are good. Soft and dense. I use both the flat top brush from coastal scents and the kabuki (the rounded tip) brush from Lumiere, flat top for buffing the mineral powder on my face, and kabuki to further buff the excess powders into every pore of my skin and the hard to reach places like around the nose and the nose bridge.
Lumiere brushes are a great buy also seriously! Some of the coastal scents brushes are also a must buy! But for buffing mineral powder onto the skin I would have to give the thumbs up to Lumiere Mineral Makeup for their wonderful synthetic brushes.
I hope there are better brushes out there but as for now, these brushes are all I’ve tried therefore I can only give recommendations consisting of what I have used so far but hope it works for you!
Enkore’s video here shows a very good review of a kabuki dome shap brush and a flat top brush.
P.s: My final exams are officially over and if everything goes well, I will get to graudate this July!

Hi! I have been absent this whole time. I guess I won’t be blogging again anytime soon. My exam is in 6 days time. I intend to start revising RELIGIOUSLY from now on however hard it might be due to the joy of reading other makeup blogs. I learnt so much from watching makeup videos and reviews in youtube. Enkore is amazing in his reviews and makeup stuff. Find him at youtube!
I also received my parcel from MadameMadeline, Coastal Scents, Everydayminerals and still waiting for another 2 more parcels to arrive from the US such as the MAC sample pigments and another order from Coastal Scents. I am still pondering why do all the stuff that I actually need are ALL from the US. I might as well live there since everything I want it there.
It’s so much cheaper to shop online………….
I guess the only way I can get to concentrate on my finals is to shut down my computer.
This is my last session and I BETTER NOT SCREW UP!
Bye for now and stay tuned for more when I am done with my exams on the 17 June.
I am very happy. I am looking forward to it. I just wanna get it over and done with. I assure you time really flies during this hectic pre exam period.
2nd final exam pr is Auditing and thats in 17 days time.
I really can’t wait to sit for the papers so I can leave this place.
